The Flourishing Shot is a piece of glassware designed for our flourishing society. The glass is a standard 0.04L shot that is produced in a crystal clear version as well as various colors achieved through glass coloring. The profile is made from a dodecagonal shape that naturally transitions from small to large diameters and vice versa, making a custom sculpture resembling a flower. The reason for choosing a dodecagon was its twelve sides, to represent each month of the year. The goal was to provide people with the possibility to enjoy their favorite alcoholic beverage with a touch of art.
The Flourishing Shot, designed by Miroslav Stiburek, is a unique shot glass that stands out from the rest. Its design is inspired by both nature and culture, resulting in a glass that not only looks beautiful but also offers a delightful drinking experience.
One of the standout features of the Flourishing Shot is its shape, which resembles a flower. When held, the glass feels like it was designed specifically for the hand, with a natural transition from a smaller to a larger diameter. This ergonomic design ensures a comfortable and enjoyable drinking experience.

The production process of the Flourishing Shot involves careful craftsmanship. The form and shape of the glass are meticulously created to exact dimensions and arcs. The clear crystal version of the glass is made from crystal glass, while the colored versions are achieved by mixing in metal or oxide concentrates. The final step is glass-cutting, which gives the glass its clear, smooth, and polished look.
Despite its initial inspiration as a gift for the designer's Mexican girlfriend's parents, the Flourishing Shot has found a purpose beyond cultural boundaries. Its universal appeal lies in its unique design and the joy it brings to anyone who uses it.
The Flourishing Shot has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements.
